With ever increasing financial and performance pressures the NAHT Aspire programme delivers outstanding value to schools and commissioning bodies. For example, the cost to a Local Authority of converting a school to an Academy is between £2,500 and £20,000* without considering any financial deficits the Authority may retain and money spent on school improvement services in the time taken to conversion. Alternatively, a full two year Aspire programme costs less, brings immediate challenge and support and develops capacity through a model that is sustained over time.
NAHT Aspire is a proven School Improvement programme that has been delivering consistently high outcomes for partner schools since its beginning in 2013. Designed in response to a DfE tender to help schools with multiple RI judgements and as an alternative to acadamisation, the programme has developed to include good and outstanding schools looking to retain and improve their judgements.
We are currently recruiting schools to join our latest round of the NAHT Aspire programme. Starting with NAHT Aspire Peer Reviews in the summer term the programme will be commencing in the new academic year.
Working in Networks encourages collaboration between school leadership teams engendered by the Aspire Peer Review that initiates the programme. The programme has been fully evaluated by the University of Derby, is assured to BSI ISO 9001 and has been chosen by the DfE in a one year version to be delivered through the Teaching and Leadership Innovation Fund (TLIF). It is applicable to maintained schools or academies, Trusts and local authorities; to quote a partner school:
